18-19 Staffing Updates

Dear Community,

below are some staffing changes for next year.

Elementary and middle school homeroom teachers and room numbers will be sent home with report cards, after the last day of school. Middle school schedules will be available on the school website.

High school schedules will be mailed home over the summer, after they are entered into PowerSchool. The overall high school course schedule is on our website, under High School Info.

Our new, third Preschool homeroom teacher will be Vicki Burgess, with new preschool paraprofessionals Evelyn Sheeran and Phoebe Carlisle, who is moving into a classroom position.

We will have an additional 2nd grade teacher next year, Emma Taylor. The third grade homeroom teacher will be Pam Cushman, who will be moving to the classroom. We are beginning a search for a new Elementary School Counselor.

Desiree Persons will be our new Special Educator in grades 3-6, and Liz Lawson will be moving into the new K-12 Life Skills position.

The Middle School will have a dedicated School Counselor, Adriana Watrobski, a shared position with Peacham. Nick DeCaro will be moving into grades 7/8 Humanities.

Amy Richard will be moving to high school Global Citizenship, and taking over Casie Grossman’s classes.

Emily Greaves will be taking the newly created Instructional Leader role, a teacher-leader position in charge of EST, our MTSS intervention systems, working with teachers and administration to improve intervention instruction, and manage schoolwide data and data analysis.

Mackenzie Hatch, hired mid-year this year, will be returning as a preschool para, and Dave Dargie will join us full time as a special education paraprofessional.

Casie Grossman, Kristen Eckhardt and Wendy Wilson will be leaving us at the end of the year. Tanna Elliott will be taking a year leave of absence. We wish them all well!

Dave Schilling, next year’s principal, spent a second day in the building today, meeting students and staff and getting to know us better.

More updates will be published as we continue to interview and hire.
